Delapre Miniature Railway

The miniature railway built by the Northampton Society of Model Engineers has been delighting young and old alike at Delapre park for nearly 50 years.

The Society, which first formed in 1933, made Delapre park their main base in 1984, but their permanent track at Delapre has been running since 1967. Their complex now includes the clubhouse, workshop, station building, ticket office and carriage shed, as well as two main running tracks: one elevated track for 3 1/2 inch and 5 inch gauge locomotives, and one at ground level for 5 inch and 7 1/4" equipment.

Public running days start on May Bank Holiday Monday and continue on the first Sunday of every month until October between 2pm and 5pm. Entry is free and train tickets are £1 per ride.
